Becchi Book Reads is the initiative of the Becchi Don Bosco Kavarapettai which is a Theologate community. The community consists of 38 students (brothers) and 9 staff (priests) members. The brothers in the Second and Third years of their theology present a book of their choice to the community. The brothers are given 20 minutes on the whole to present the book to the community, which includes the time of 5 minutes for clarification.
The presentation could be up to the creativity of the presenter with the consent of the staff who guides the brother. The presenter is expected to give a glimpse of the book in the presentation. the brothers are expected to say about the author of the book, the chapters in the book and the main theme the author deals with .A day is set aside by the principle according to the convince of the community. Only three members will be presenting per day in a week. The community has taken the initiative in-order to give a taste of the book to the viewers which could help them to know the book and pursue in reading it and getting to know it in detail if they are interested.
